Time to start learning to speak Spanish.

After all, I don’t want to show up at the front door of Ecuador without at least minimal Spanish language speaking skill. I have three vehicles going for learning the language. One is the Rocket Spanish lessons on my Walkman. I’ve scheduled an hour a day five days a week to listen and practice the lessons. The second vehicle doesn’t start moving down the street until January 12th, 2012, when conversational Spanish language classes, for which I’m registered, start at the San Mateo Adult School. These classes have two hour sessions twice a week, and I’ll be taking them as long as they’re offered up until it’s time to leave. The third vehicle is the San Mateo Spanish Language Meetup Group, which assembles for casual conversation once a week on Saturday mornings at a coffee shop in Burlingame.
